1. How do I know which level is a good fit for me?
Once you’ve registered for the course, we’ll send you a screening test two weeks before the semester starts. This will allow you to assess your proficiency at home. Based on your results, we’ll provide guidance on the level that best suits you. Additionally, on the first day of class, if you feel the level isn’t the right fit, we can help you switch to another level.
2. Do I need to purchase the textbook in advance?
No, you don’t need to purchase the textbook in advance. We use the “來學華語” (Let’s Learn Mandarin) textbook along with supplementary materials, all of which will be provided to you in class at no extra cost. For the Advanced Mandarin course, additional handouts will also be provided.
3. What should I do if I miss a class?
If you miss a class, the instructor will provide you with class materials to help you catch up. Please note that we do not offer refunds for missed classes.
4. How can I pay for the course?
We currently do not offer online payment. You can pay by check or cash in person at Taiwan Center.

5. Is there a refund policy?
Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds for missed classes. However, if you decide to withdraw before the semester starts, we may be able to offer a partial refund depending on the circumstances.
6. Will there be additional cultural workshops?
Yes, we host several cultural workshops throughout the year. These workshops focus on various aspects of Taiwanese culture, such as food, festivals, and traditional arts. You’ll receive more details about these events during the semester.
7. Can I take private lessons instead of the group course?
At the moment, we only offer group classes. Private lessons are not available.
