👉 Each summer offers something different — making it a great opportunity to explore Mandarin in a fun, relaxed, and interactive way.
Do I need to purchase textbooks in advance?
No — all textbooks and handouts are provided at no extra cost.
We use the Let’s Learn Mandarin (來學華語) series along with curated supplementary materials.
👉 This allows you to focus on learning without additional expenses.
What if I miss a class?
If you miss a class, please let your instructor know. They will provide materials to help you review and stay on track.
Please note that we do not offer refunds or credits for missed classes.
Are there additional cultural workshops?
Yes! We regularly host cultural workshops featuring Taiwanese food, festivals, and traditional arts.
These activities are designed to complement your language learning and help you experience Taiwanese culture in a more interactive way.
👉 You’ll receive event updates throughout the semester.
Do you offer private lessons?
Currently, we offer group classes only, designed to provide a supportive and interactive learning environment.
What writing system do you use?
We teach Traditional Chinese characters and use Pinyin as the primary pronunciation system.
Why Pinyin instead of Zhuyin?
Pinyin is widely used in the U.S. and is easier for most beginners to learn.
Both Pinyin and Zhuyin are tools to support pronunciation — not replacements for Chinese characters.
👉 Our goal is for students to read and recognize Chinese characters independently, without relying on phonetic systems.
