Spring 2026: Beginner Mandarin 102
This course introduces the foundations of Mandarin Chinese in a structured, curriculum-based format. Students will review Pinyin and pronunciation while beginning to learn basic sentence patterns, common vocabulary, and simple reading and writing in Traditional Chinese characters. Lessons focus on everyday topics to build communication skills and reading confidence step by step.
Who Should Join: For students who have never taken a formal Mandarin class or only have minimal exposure.

Spring 2026: Introductory Mandarin 202
This course continues the development of speaking and listening skills while introducing basic reading and writing in traditional characters. Students will learn to construct sentences, engage in longer conversations, and begin reading short texts.
Who Should Join: For learners who are comfortable with pinyin and can engage in basic conversations like self-introduction, ordering food, or asking for directions. For students who have completed Beginner Mandarin 101/102 or equivalent.

This course is designed for advanced and heritage learners seeking to deepen their expressive skills, comprehension, and cultural literacy in Mandarin. Students will engage with authentic materials, analyze complex topics, and develop the ability to express ideas with clarity, nuance, and precision.
🗣️ The class will be conducted primarily in Mandarin (90%) to support a fully immersive and advanced learning environment.
