This course is designed for beginner Mandarin learners, with a strong focus on mastering the Pinyin system and pronunciation. It also incorporates practical daily conversations to help students build a solid language foundation and gain confidence in speaking Mandarin.

Summer 2025: Intermediate Mandarin – Practical Topics for Everyday Life
Designed for both Intermediate and Introductory level students, the course offers a comprehensive exploration of various topics relevant to daily life. You’ll acquire practical language skills that you can readily apply in a diverse array of situations.
Here’s a glimpse of what you can expect:
- Mandarin for Foodies – Exploring Taiwanese Cuisine: Discover Taiwanese cuisine, learn to read recipes, and expand cooking-related vocabulary.
- Home Sweet Home – Mandarin for Housing and Accommodation: Master Mandarin communication skills for renting and real estate interactions.
- Fun in Mandarin – Movies, Hobbies, and Entertainment: Learn to discuss movies, TV shows, hobbies, and leisure activities.
- Taiwanese Board Game – Enhance speaking skills through interactive board games.

Spring 2025: Advanced Mandarin – Deep Dive into Taiwanese Culture
This course takes students on an in-depth exploration of Taiwanese culture, blending historical and modern elements. Topics include tea culture, Tai Chi, hot springs, temples, traditional theater, and museums. Through discussions, videos, readings, and interactive learning, students will gain a profound understanding of Taiwan’s cultural essence while enhancing their advanced Mandarin proficiency.

In addition to our summer courses, we will host monthly cultural activities and Mandarin meetups from June to August! These events provide a fun and immersive way to experience Taiwanese culture while practicing Mandarin in a relaxed setting. Join us for a hands-on cultural experience and a great opportunity to connect with fellow Mandarin learners!
